Trim & Finish Carpentry

Precision woodwork — crown molding, casing, wainscoting, coffered ceilings, and custom built-ins — that gives a room the polish production builders skip.

Trim & Finish Carpentry
Overview

Trim is where a renovation either looks custom or looks fast. Consistent reveals, tight coped inside corners, scarf joints placed where they aren't seen, and profiles scaled to the ceiling height are the difference.

We build to the room: heavier stacked crown in tall spaces, restrained casing in smaller ones, and built-ins designed for what you actually store rather than a generic shelving unit.

How It Works

Our process.

01

Design & profile selection

Profiles and proportions selected against ceiling height and existing trim.

02

Shop & site prep

Material acclimated on site so joints don't open after installation.

03

Installation

Coped, glued, and fastened joints — not caulk-filled gaps.

04

Finish

Filled, sanded, caulked, and painted or stained to a furniture-grade finish.

FAQ

Common questions.

What crown size fits an 8-foot ceiling?

Typically 3.5 to 5 inches. Oversized crown in a standard-height room makes the ceiling feel lower, not grander.

Paint-grade or stain-grade?

Paint-grade covers most modern interiors and costs less. Stain-grade requires hardwood and far tighter joinery, so it's priced accordingly.

Can you match trim in an older home?

Yes — we can source close profiles or have knives ground to reproduce original millwork.
