Damage Restoration

Structural Repair

Specialized construction that reinforces and repairs compromised load-bearing components — framing, joists, rafters, headers, and bearing walls — with engineering oversight.

Structural Repair
Overview

Sagging floors, cracked headers, rotted sill plates, and damaged rafters aren't cosmetic problems — they're load-path problems. Repairing them correctly requires understanding where the load goes before you remove anything.

Vest brings engineering oversight to structural work. When a repair affects a load path, we design it, document it, permit it, and build it so it passes inspection and holds for the life of the building.

FAQ

Common questions.

Do I need an engineer?

For anything altering a load path, yes — and we coordinate that as part of the project rather than sending you to find one.

My floor sags. Is that serious?

It can be anything from an undersized joist span to a failed pier or rotted girder. It's worth an assessment; sagging rarely improves on its own.

Is structural damage covered by insurance?

If it stems from a covered event like a tree impact or sudden water loss, usually yes. Long-term rot and termite damage typically is not.
