Roof Replacement: Kennesaw to Athens

A Licensed Roof,
Not Just A Roofer.

In Georgia, a company can sell you a roof without holding a contractor's license. Vest Construction holds both, residential and general contractor, and the work is led by a licensed Professional Engineer.

  • Licensed GC, so a roof job that becomes a framing job doesn't stop
  • Engineer-led inspection, not a sales call
  • Itemized estimate with materials and scope in writing

Who You're Hiring

Why we built this company differently.

Most roofing companies in Georgia aren't required to hold a contractor's license. We decided to build Vest Construction differently. Our company is owned and operated by Stephan Tremblay, a licensed Professional Engineer, and we're licensed as a General Contractor in the State of Georgia. When you call us, you're not getting a salesperson trying to sell you a roof. You're getting trained professionals who inspect your home, document what they find, and develop the right solution for your property.

What the licenses actually mean.

Residential license · RLCO003364

We can legally contract, permit, and build residential structural work, not just surface roofing.

General contractor license · GCCO006428

A project that grows past the shingles doesn't need a second company brought in.

Professional Engineer oversight

Load paths, framing, ventilation, and attachment are reviewed the way an engineer reviews them.

The Inspection

What we check.

  • The roof surface and all flashing details.
  • The attic and the underside of the deck.
  • Penetrations, pipe boots, and skylights.
  • Valleys and roof-to-wall transitions.
  • Attic ventilation, intake and exhaust.
  • Gutters, drip edge, and the roof edge.

The Vest Estimator Tool

Your estimate before
the truck leaves.

Most homeowners wait days for a price. We built the Vest Estimator Tool so you don't have to. While we're still at your property, the inspection findings, measurements, materials, and scope go straight into the estimator and it prices the job line by line, in minutes.

You get a written, itemized estimate in your hands before our truck leaves the driveway, with the same numbers every time. No callback, no vague one-number quote, no pressure to sign anything.

What's in an honest estimate

  1. 1

Who inspected the roof, and exactly what they looked at.

  2. 2

The insurance, credentials, and responsibility standing behind the work.

  3. 3

A documented scope: the work, the materials, and exactly what you're paying for. Never a single vague number.

If a quote you're holding doesn't have those three things, that's worth knowing before you sign it.

The Roof System

What a replacement actually includes.

  • Tear-off to the deck.
  • Decking replaced where it's bad, photographed and documented.
  • Ice-and-water protection at eaves and valleys.
  • Synthetic underlayment.
  • Purpose-made starter strip.
  • Architectural or metal roof system, matched components.
  • Hip and ridge cap.
  • Balanced attic ventilation.

Ten things go on your roof. You see one of them. The estimate should list all ten.
